Sempermed launches next-gen GripStrong Nitrile glove

Sempermed USA (Clearwater, FL) introduced the next-generation GripStrong Nitrile glove. The GripStrong Nitrile gloves were redesigned to provide additional durability and protection in many environments. The glove’s surface and textured fingertips give wearers improved tactile sensitivity. Sempermed will continue to offer GripStrong Nitrile in sizes small through extra-large with one hundred gloves per box. GripStrong Nitrile reorder numbers stay the same, and the dispenser boxes will remain color coded by size.

 

Boston Scientific launches OffRoad Re-Entry Catheter System

Boston Scientific (Natick, MA) launched the OffRoad Re-Entry Catheter System in the U.S. According to a release, the OffRoad Re-Entry Catheter System is intended to help physicians navigate around complete arterial blockages by traveling within the tissue of the vessel wall. Once the catheter passes the blockage, a conical-shaped positioning balloon expands the subintimal space and directs a micro-catheter lancet to re-enter the vessel. This allows the physician to position a guidewire across the occlusion and treat the blockage using traditional endovascular techniques.

 

Midmark launches “More” Power Procedures Table promotion

Medline Industries Inc (Mundelein, IL) acquired Professional Hospital Supply (PHS) (Temecula, CA) and all of its related facilities. PHS, a distributor of medical and surgical supplies including sterile procedure trays, will continue to operate in Temecula, California under the PHS name as a Medline subsidiary. “PHS is a successful business with talented employees which, like us, is family owned, privately held and shares a passion for customer satisfaction,” said Charlie Mills, CEO of Medline. “Combining Medline’s strong and growing portfolio of products and distribution network with PHS’ superior customer relationships allows us to establish a new industry benchmark for superior quality, service and value.” The combined companies will now have more than 12,000 employees worldwide, 1,200 sales representatives, 40 distribution centers, 19 manufacturing facilities, and 350,000 medical and surgical products. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
